Introduction to the Benefits of Effective Approver Setup

Setting up approvers, both users and non-users, in your system is crucial for maintaining an efficient and streamlined workflow. By designating appropriate approvers, you ensure that requisitions and offers go through the right channels, reducing bottlenecks and enhancing decision-making speed and accuracy. This process not only brings clarity and structure to approval procedures but also allows for better control and oversight of key decisions in your organization.

Enabling Current Users as Approvers

Accessing User Approval Settings

  1. Navigate to Administration Panel:

    • Click on your username in the top right corner.
    • Select “Administration” from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter User Account Maintenance:

    • In the Administration Control Panel, choose “User Account Maintenance”.
    •  
  3. Editing User Approver Status:

    • Click the pencil and notepad icon to edit a user’s ability to approve requisitions/offers.
  4. Identifying Approval Capabilities:

    • On this page, look for the “Approvals” section to see if a user can approve requisitions.
      • A checked checkbox signifies the user can approve either the requisition/offer

  5. Select "Save" once you are satisfied with the user approval settings.

Setting Up Non-User (Contact) Approver

Assigning a Contact as Requisition Approver

  1. Accessing Contact Maintenance:

    • Again, select your username at the top right.
    • From the dropdown, choose “Contacts”.
  2. Editing Contact Details:

    • On the “Contact Maintenance” page, select the pencil and notepad icon.
  3. Configuring Contact as Approver:

    • In the “Contact Editor” page, you'll find the Requisition/Offer Approval section.
    • Checkboxes here indicate whether a contact can act as an Offer/Chain Approver.
  4. Select "Save" once you are satisfied with the contact approval settings.

By systematically setting up both users and non-users as approvers, you ensure a seamless, accountable, and efficient approval process within your organization.
