Overview: The Job Alerts feature in Hirebridge allows visitors to your company or internal website to sign up and receive notifications when new job postings that match their preferences are added. This tool helps keep potential candidates engaged with your company and ensures they are notified as soon as relevant opportunities arise.
Adding Job Alerts to Your Website: You can embed the Job Alerts form directly onto your company’s external or internal website. Visitors who wish to be notified about specific roles can easily subscribe by entering their email address and selecting their preferred job categories and/or locations
Before using Job Alerts, ensure that the Job Alert module has been added to your Hirebridge account. Once activated, you can provide visitors with access to the registration page at:
https://alerts.hirebridge.com/?cid=companyid
(replace companyid with your specific ID).
Visitors who wish to be notified about specific roles can easily subscribe by entering their email address and selecting their preferred job categories and/or locations.
How Job Alerts Work:
- Registration:
- A visitor navigates to your Job Alerts section.
- They input their email address.
- They select their desired job categories (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Engineering, etc.) and/or job locations (e.g., New York, Dallas, Remote, etc.).
- Once selections are made, they complete the CAPTCHA to prevent spam registrations.
- After clicking "Register," they receive a confirmation email to ensure the email address is valid.
- Email Confirmation:
- The visitor must open the confirmation email and click on the verification link inside. This confirms their intent to receive job alerts.
- Once confirmed, the visitor is officially subscribed to receive job alerts tailored to their selections.
- Receiving Alerts:
- Whenever a new job matching the visitor’s selected criteria (location and/or category) is posted, they will automatically receive an email alert. Alerts are sent out 1x per day, usually in the early am.
- The email contains a brief description of the job and a direct link to apply for the position.
- This ensures the candidate can easily access and apply to relevant jobs directly from their inbox.
- Opting Out:
- If a subscriber no longer wishes to receive job alerts, they can opt out at any time.
- Each job alert email includes an "Unsubscribe" link that allows them to stop receiving alerts with one click.
- Alternatively, they can manage their alert preferences through an unsubscribe or manage subscriptions page, depending on the setup.
Benefits of Job Alerts:
- Increased Engagement: Visitors are more likely to return to your site and apply for roles if they are regularly notified about new opportunities.
- Timely Updates: Alerts are sent promptly when new roles matching their preferences are posted, ensuring that potential candidates don't miss out on relevant jobs.
- Personalized Experience: Visitors can tailor alerts to their specific interests, reducing irrelevant notifications and enhancing the candidate experience.
Technical Implementation: To add this feature to your website, you will need to integrate the Hirebridge Job Alerts widget or form. This involves adding the necessary HTML and JavaScript code to your webpage, which is typically provided within your Hirebridge admin tools.
Once implemented, the form can be styled using CSS to match your company’s branding. You can also configure email templates within Hirebridge to ensure that the confirmation and alert emails are consistent with your company’s tone and messaging.
*NEW FEATURE ALERT*
Hirebridge Job Alerts for Internal Roles
Hirebridge Job Alerts can now support Internal Roles, which means that notifications for these roles will only be sent to internal employees who meet the following conditions:
- They have an employee account, either self-created or set up by the company.
- They have signed up to receive Job Alerts.
How it Works:
When a new role is created and marked as Internal Only in Hirebridge, any internal employee who has registered for job alerts will receive a notification if the role matches the criteria they set up during the job alert registration process (such as location, category, or department).
- The email notification will clearly indicate that the job is an Internal Role.
- The notification will contain a link to the internal job posting.
- When the internal employee applies using their internal email address, they will automatically be placed on the internal job path, and their application will be marked as coming from an internal candidate.
Note: External Candidates Will Not Receive Notification For Internal Roles:
External candidates who have signed up for job alerts will not receive any notifications for internal-only roles, ensuring that these positions remain exclusive to your internal team.
This article covers how candidates sign up for Job Alerts. Note: This is an add-on feature, so please contact Hirebridge for more details.
- Candidates will be able to sign up for new job alerts either through the Joblist or Job Description page.
